Tentative Happenings in our Class

Week of May 6 - 10
Throughout the month of May, we will be learning about the different animal families.  To kick off our lesson on animal families  we will be having a special visit from Curious Creatures on Monday, May 6th. This week we will be learning about Amphibians and Reptiles.  We will talk about the life cycle of the frog and we will be making a frog life cycle wheel.   Our letter this week will be “X”.

Week of May 13 - 17
Buzz, Buzz, Buzz… this week we will be learning about Insects.  We will be making fun “Bug” glasses and taking a nature walk in search of Insects. Our letter for this week is the letter “Y”. In addition, we will begin practicing for our Annual Carmelite in-school circus, which is on Friday, May 24.  Each child will have the opportunity to participate in our circus.        

Week of May 20 - 24

The animal family we will be learning about this week is Mammals. Our letter for the week is the letter “Y”. Friday we will participate in a fun Circus with the other classes, each child will have the opportunity to take part in our Spectacular Circus!!!

No School Monday, May 27 - Memorial Day

Week of May 27 - 31
 This week we will be exploring life under the sea.  We will also be working on the concept of same and different.  We will compare and contrast the similarities and differences of the animals we have learned about. Our letter for this week is the letter “Z”.
