May News!
Tentative Happenings in our Class
I don't know about you, but this year has flown by!! It is already May and I still have so many things I want to do with your children! I have enjoyed this time with them more than you know! It has been a wonderful year!
Well, May is going to be very busy! (I say that at the start of every month!)
Curious Creatures Kids Zoo will be visiting our school on May 7! What a great opportunity to see (and maybe touch!) some animals they may never get to see in real life!
We will be in the process of watching caterpillars grow into butterflies! What a great science lesson!
We will be planting beans to observe root growth and to learn how things grow! We will be practicing for the annual Preschool Circus at that will happen at the end of the month! We are making a special gift for Mother's Day and learning special songs to honor her! Your children will draw a picture of mom to hang in "The Mother's Hall of Fame"! We will honor our Mother Mary with flowers and song.
As always, our songs, literature and artwork reflect the time of season, special holidays etc. Everything we do and say is a lesson to be learned.
(There is no school on May 26 for Memorial Day. God bless all who protect our freedom)

We will have a beautiful May Pole in our room (crepe paper suspended from the ceiling!)
Every morning the children will hold on to a beautiful color, sing a song and walk around the circle.

Wednesday, May 28- A baby picture (under 2 years old if possible) that we can keep in the class for a couple of weeks.

Let me kindly thank all of you for making the time to come in and share yourselves with the class. I know that it is difficult to get away from work schedules. The children have been so good if their parent could not make it in. They just enjoy the company that comes in! Thank you also for your generosity of bringing in a craft/activity to do that goes along with the story!
